– another very close encounter of the lovely woodpecker, the story behind is the bird only have certain angle to have better view but it is always good to tolerate to have every got chance to have a good picture or view

– while we waiting for ours target, a pair of this special Borneo endemic came really low while the target also came close to us… make everyone of us so busy to look for 3 of them 。。 this such a beautiful girl

– it is not a new site for this feeding station, 12-13 years ago I got my Blue-headed Pitta similar site and it is not feeding .. the bird just there and it was very fun trip with few good buddies .. Andy Pau, Jasnnie, Ah Lee, Shunfa .. this time we went for feed !!! but the bird came while we arrive and came infornt of me ~4-5feet away without food or hide !!! But after wait for 3 hours .. it came with a chick few times but not the male .. it is a tough time spent with almost 8 hours for Blue-Banded and 3 hours for no male … but this female really beautiful and I think I never got any good picture of female of this bird

– 这个点我在12-13年前就来过与好几位好朋友来拍一样的鸟。当时是没喂食的，就在哪等。鸟自己来跳来跳去。那是的感觉与现在的“等”鸟真的很不一样。可是话说这鸟是喂食的，可是在我们到达时这鸟自己跳来5-6尺前。。。我们没帐篷，虫。虽然很容易拿下，可是还是没等到公鸟。对着斗湖的八色鸫有点恐惧感。。。蓝斑等了～8小时没等到，这鸟也等了3小时没公鸟。可是对我自己来说还是不错，我应该没拍过漂亮的母鸟。

– a wonderful group and trip, even begin with little bit problem where Indonesia Mount Ruang eruption cause us reach Borneo with little be delay .. and group decided travel to Kuala Lumpur than direct to Sabah.

– we start ours day with Spotted Wood Owl and Dusky eagle owl .. follow with many good birds and today we had one of the highly wanted target .. 7 birds show up after 1 day search and day 2 early morning gave us very good picture opportunity

– 非常幸运的一组人，开始就麻烦多多。火山爆发。客人从婆罗洲决定到吉隆坡再飞沙巴。在吉隆坡的一天，我们拿下点斑林鸮，乌雕鸮河红树林八色鸫。过了好几美好的几天拍了130+种好鸟。今天再拿下这一只主要目标。到这第一天几乎没听到这鸟，第二天一大早尽然就高高看到第一只。大家的耐心让我们等来7只，有2-3只还下来很低。让大家拍好好。

– this bird can be found easily near Lodge area but we seldom stay.. most of ours activities walk from the lodge but this time we got this bird easily just ~200-400m away on ground (~5cm from ground) … it pick the fruit for feeding ?

– 我们通常都可以容易在酒店餐厅附近看到这鸟。可是我们都是一大早出去，中午或下午回来。。。很不容易在林里看到它。可是这一次很不样，就是在离开酒店200-400米就看到这鸟在捡果子。应该在喂小孩？

– a very tame and easy female this time, it just keep following us until we got the male after ~30-40minutes first saw this bird

– it is another great trip, we saw this bird 2 times from Fraser Hill and Danum Valley. While we having ours afternoon walk, this bird just flew in and after we managed to have some good view of the male (didn’t found where the female perch) … the male decide to leave than we saw the female 😀

– 今年非常好的第一个长观鸟团19天。。。见到这鸟2次（西马+东马-婆罗洲）。在丹绒谷，我们在炎热的中午看鸟时。他们就突然飞来，没很久看完公鸟后（找不到母鸟），他就起飞。。。这一幕让我喊“母鸟！”

– it is a bird that always avoid me, I didn’t got many chance to take photo of this common but shy bird. But this month within same tour, I got both Borneo-Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia-Pahang version … and surprise they are tame and allow us approach them ~10m

– 这一只普通害羞的鸟，跟我没什么缘分。几乎没拍过怎么样的照片，可是这个月的一个19天的观鸟团。尽然，给了我2个机会（婆罗洲+西马国家公园）而且时大概10米的。

I saw a big black bird far up the tree and make a stop, just immediate I shout … Helmeted …. Helmeted … and 2 smiling face even we try to have a look at the male but seem he is shy

– 接待2位非常随意的客人，没什么目标鸟。可是都把好鸟拿下，包括白眉长颈鸫，榴红八色鸫，大鹪鹛与这一只大鸟。我们拿下我们最后一只目标后，慢慢驾车回程。（客人让我早点回家因为知道明天我又要飞）。在路中突然看到一只大黑鸟在蛮高树山。我就把车停下，我看到后就叫盔犀，盔犀。。不错吧。运气。

– had been seeing this lovely hornbill 2 locations for the last 7 days and this time surprise easy to spot it and flying left-right for us to capture some good picture
– a male with red-eye and a female with white eye
– lucky to have this setup while walking and I have an almost 100% success rate for this bird flying from left to right in 2-3s

1. Sultan Tit, 冕雀, Melanochlora sultanea, サルタンガラ, SESERAI SULTAN

The Sultan Tit (Melanochlora sultanea) is a large songbird (about 17 cm long) with a yellow crest, dark bill,
black upperparts plumage and yellow underparts. The sexes are similar.
The female has greenish black upperparts and yellowish throat. The young
bird is duller than the adult and has a shorter crest. It is the only
member of the monotypic genus Melanochlora, which is fairly distinct from the Parus tits with the nearest relative being the monotypic Sylviparus.^[5]

– a beautiful bird found at Mountain Chiang Mai, Thailand

黄颊山雀（学名：Parus spilonotus）小型鸟类，体长12~14厘米。头顶和羽冠黑色，前额、眼先、头侧和枕鲜黄色，眼后有一黑纹。上背黄绿色、羽缘黑色，下背绿灰色（西藏亚种），或上背黑色而具蓝灰色轴纹，下背蓝灰色（华南亚种）。颏、喉、胸黑色并沿腹中部延伸至尾下覆羽，形成一条宽阔的黑色纵带，纵带两侧为黄绿色（西藏亚种）或蓝灰色（华南亚种）。

相似种绿背山雀头无羽冠，脸白色；黄腹山雀脸白色，下体无黑色纵带。区别甚明显，野外不难识别。

常见于中国西藏南部及云南极西部（指名亚种）和南方省份（华南亚种）的开阔林，高可至海拔2400米。
