3. Bornean Whistling-Thrush, 婆罗洲啸鸫, 婆羅洲嘯鶇, Myophonus borneensis, ボルネオルリチョウ, TIUNG-BELACAN BUKIT BORNEO

– some different from Blue Whistling-Thursh, smaller/thiner bill, shorter neck

On day one, this bird was right on the railing—such an exciting moment (at least for me, and I hope for my guests too). It might not be the most eye-catching bird for everyone, but I still tried hard to get a good shot since it was such a great opportunity. Even though I’ve had two close, daytime encounters with it this year and got decent photos, I’m still thrilled every time I see this Peninsular Malaysia endemic.
第一天，这只鸟就站在栏杆上——让我非常兴奋（希望我的客人也一样）。虽然它对很多人来说可能不是最吸引的鸟，但我还是很努力地想拍一张好照片，因为这是个很难得的机会。即使今年已经两次近距离白天遇到它并拍到不错的照片，但每次看到这只马来半岛特有种，我依然很激动。

What a surprise to encounter this bird twice during our stay at Fraser’s Hill! Despite the short trip and bad weather, we saw it once in extremely low light and again at midday, offering a much better view.
真是个惊喜！在我们短暂停福隆港期间，尽管天气不佳，我们竟然两次遇见这只鸟——一次是在极暗的环境下，另一次则是在正午时分，视野清晰得多。

– sometime confuse with Malayan

– less bluenish
– endemic to montane Borneo

– Easy to found near roadside feeding
– 在沙巴神山公园，这婆罗洲特有种蛮容易看到，拍到的。通常在路边找吃。

like other whistling-Thrush, stay near water (pond), dark area and active normally dusk and dawn.
与其他地方的紫啸鸫，都喜欢活动在有“水”+暗的地方。

– very first bird at Daxueshan, arrive accomodation late. Walk out for the checking and saw this bird just feeding near a small pond
– 大雪山第一只鸟，到达时一要天暗。见到一只黑黑的东西在池塘边活动。
