Terrible Service from Canon Malaysia Service Center !!!

so far, I am happy with Canon products but not really for the service .. previously I complaint once for the sensor cleaning … they make 200-300++ dusts spots after cleaning … and before clean was 20-50 …

but again after 1year, while I have my Len stuck with my EOS 5dm2 .. so I have no choice send it for remove and do a full test/verify (shutter, sensor, dusts….)

27 Dec 2011

camera & Len sent in for len remove, button check, shutter check, sensor check & dust cleaning

5 Jan 2012

– call Canon service center for status update and is that possible for me to collect my len as I do believe len remove should be done after so many days

– call agent told me technician not around and will get them update me .. but no one call me !!!!!!

9 Jan 2012

– call again CANON service center for status update but again .. technician not available !!!! and promise to get someone call me … and even offer me remember her name

– BUT again no one call me …..

10 Jan 2012

– call CANON service center will little high tone

– “call agent” told me quotation already out 29 Dec 2011 and pending for approval from me  !!!!!!! and I ask why I call in for few times no one tell me and I did not receive any quotation at all !!!!!

– the “call agent” told me… “sir, if you want your len and camera back… then you can come collect now without repair”  … I am not sure this is a joke or what …. am I too free to send my camera and len without repair ????

– Service Manager call me to say sorry la .. miscommunication .. etc .. but I say how could it be .. as I call in for few times and no one tell me about the quotation .. and do I HAVE CHOICE >>>?????

– after the confirm repair, i ask when can I get my camera and Len back. Lam told me for other service they need time to check and verify

– after 15min, he even call me offer to loan me a 5dm2 until my camera is repair.

– BUT after 1++ hour,  a technician call me and told me my camera and len ready to pick up !!!!! so 1++ hour job need ~10days to get me update ? (I even call in ask for update)

– I wonder they can change mirror box, clean sensor dust, viewfinder dust, sensor pixel mapping in 1hour +++ ?????? and if YES, why they keep my equipments for days ?

I will go to service center tomorrow for this …. and hope all the tasks have been completed as request (I doubt so .. how many want to bet they pass me back a camera without dusts cleaning ? )

This is so call CANON service in MALAYSIA !!!!! I will definite want to avoid their service in future …  juvenile, chick, liewwk

where is the reflection …

we are keep looking for possible angle to get the reflection but too bad we fail to capture it ….

... looking for reflection ...

by the way … how many of us .. actually know it is a black and white while we shooting or convert it after it do not look good on the computer screen ?  … and we should know what/how we edit our picture before press the shutter ….?

the pillow …

How many of you still sleep with pillow ? 😀 I need pillow to sleep well 😀 , think the lizard have the same feeling too

... where is my pillow ...

one of my favorite MACRO model – Tiger Beetle

I love to capture this beetle but too bad this beetle is skittish/shy .. and not easy to get close so have a closer shot .. so most of the shots I use SIGMA150 instead my MP-E65

1. the green one .. and most difficult to get close

My Gear – Ball Head [FLM]

CB-38 FT with QR70 | CB-32 FP with Fotopro QR | CB-32 FP with QR40

How I choose a ball head or you … good friction , weight and price

1. friction , we do not want our ball head fall lower down after we fix the composition … especially we shoot at portrait mode
WE DO NOT WHAT WE CAPTURED is not WHAT WE WANT 😀

2. weight, bigger ball head tend to have better friction but it weight

3. price, but do we got many good and cheap option ?

I own few head to put on my tripod and will slowly share those one by one … but today would like to share my main ball head which is FLM ball head which brought to you by Leephoto from German …..

I only have 2 of it which is CB-32FP & CB-38FT….

the P –> mean it come with the “Pan” nut/option and T —> come with both PAN and Tilt nut/option (view below video for more)

the ball head are solid, hold it and you feel the different.. even the price is bit high if use with the original quick release system .. but we do have option to use cheaper Manfrotto, fotopro quick release system to bring the cost down ….. and it still perform well…

5. LB30/60 Leveling Base

– this is a base to level the “ball head” so we can improve the panorama capture

– use when the tripod (or ground no flat or balance) so this leveling base can easily level the ball head base

few simple movie show how it work …

how to control tilt and Pan
– the pan is standard but tilt …. after you fix the composition and you want little up or down without affect your horizontal tilt ….i like this MOST ..

set the friction – Yes, we can control it

set the friction

loose friction or low number

tight friction or high number
– like this also .. i can just move my len without open/loose the ball head control …. even with heavy 70200 F2.8 len

you may contact me for FLM ball head price …

this is good of MACRO photography , let we look thing differently … not only photography but we should look every at different angle before conclude

it is good to have 2nd camera …the small one
