We were incredibly fortunate to photograph three different species at a single location, all at a great distance and eye level. One of them was a fascinating bird that looks like a cross between a nuthatch and a woodpecker. This particular species is one of the larger ones; usually, after the first sighting, they tend to stay high in the canopy and far away from us. We feel very lucky to have captured it at such a perfect level and close range this time.
