This bird keeps its distance from us. While there are one or two spots where Toucans visit feeders, the presence of bananas and papayas in the frame often makes the photos look unnatural. Because of this, most of us struggled to get a good shot until the last few days when this bird finally came down low for us at the forest edge. It was such an excitement for everyone to see this beautiful creature. Most importantly, thank you to everyone for prioritizing the bird’s well-being over the photo. You guys are the best.
巨嘴鸟通常与我们保持距离。虽然有一两个点会有巨嘴鸟飞到喂食点，但照片里出现的香蕉和木瓜会让画面显得有些违和，所以大多数人一直没能拍到理想的照片。直到最后几天，包括这只鸟在内的巨嘴鸟终于在森林边缘低飞靠近我们，大家能近距离看到这种美丽的鸟类都非常兴奋。最后，感谢大家对鸟类的爱护胜过对拍照的追求，你们是最棒的。

After a wonderful morning, we skipped our rest to keep the momentum going. Our local guide, Raul, took us for some easier birding along a flat grassland trail. We were lucky enough to witness a Tropical Kingbird chasing a Gray Hawk, and we also spotted this stunning Yellow-throated Toucan. It was truly a fantastic moment.

It was a rare stroke of luck on our route. This bird is a rare sight, but it made a brief appearance at the feeding station, grabbed a piece of banana, and was gone in an instant. Only two or three of us were lucky enough to witness it; the rest of the group just missed out. Despite being everyone’s top target, it never returned.
在我们的路线上见到这种鸟实属罕见。它非常稀有，刚才出现在一个投喂点，叼起一块香蕉就离开了。只有我们两三个人有幸目睹，其他人正好错过了。尽管它是大家的主要目标，但它再也没有回来。

We have sighted this bird a few times, but the conditions never seemed right for photography. On one occasion, it hopped into the open for less than 10 seconds, so I doubt everyone managed to get a shot. This time, it stayed for a while, but it was during the final light of the day. Everyone was already preparing to head back to their rooms when it perched right above us. Most of the shots were taken handheld.
我们曾多次目睹这种鸟，但似乎一直没有遇到最佳的拍摄条件。有一次它跳入开阔地带不到10秒钟，我想并非每个人都拍到了。而这一次它停留了很久，却恰逢傍晚最后一抹光亮。当时大家正准备回房休息，它就停在我们房间的正上方。大部分照片都是手持拍摄。
