same shooting date previous picture , due to the lightning keep happen at the other site of our target direction … make use of on Body multiple exposure to create this .. no other Post Processing done .. just contrast, saturation and resize

another 2 years been missing this beautiful Island for Landscape …. finally make a crazy decision .. for stay overnight on Penang Hill (outdoor, ~700m from sea level) …

and I miss what I plan to get .. but the lightning night give us good opportunity to get good shot …

recently, I have this picture print real big .. A0-A1 … and have one A3 hang at Canon Service center …. make me feel I should revisit Penang ….

Pantai Kelanang, Banting | liewwk

a beautiful mangrove beach locate not too far from Kuala Lumpur (~1.5 hours drive) and 40minutes from KLIA airport. this beach also close famous Morib beach. a mangrove beach with mangrove plant, sand beach (long ~5-8km) ..

my Filter – GND .6s & RGND 2 stops | liewwk

it is not easy to tell how filter help us as landscape photographer … normally we face

1. either foreground correct exposure but the sky will be over or sky ok but foreground under

2. when light reach horizontal (sunset/sunrise last momet) … the center park of the light source use to over exposure with highlight blown …

and here is a simple picture show what filters I to get different results

2011 FRIM Bidor Coffee Book | liewwk

We (me, Shunfa, Lio JH, Jason Loo) are honour that got invited to be photographers for the coffee-table book of FRIM Bidor, not much people know about this place but this is a GREAT project done by FRIM (Dr L.H. Ang and other contribute … )

This is a greening project for an ex-tin mining Lake (or call reforestration), where FRIM spend years to convert/green the  “sand” land … and if you able to go into the compound, you will WOW WOW WOW by the result … and we were there for months and able to capture so many different kinds of floras, fauna, birds, fishes .. etc …. after this project make me feel I should love and enjoy forest more … the forests are here, pls enjoy, love & preserve them….

 

not much pictures are allow to share on public but those wish to have a look at the book and pictures feel free ask when we meet up …

beautiful day and decide to make a visit to Pantai Jeram, while we reach there all the beautiful clouds disappear … but we never give up and the flaming sky just appear immediate after sunset ….

flipside is useful especially at the muddy area, hiking … so I decide to add into y collection and I know most of the time we need lighter materials 😀 .. and I choose Flipside Sport

my Beg – Field Station – Beltpack

nowaday .. there are plenty of photography application which can found at smart phone, ipad , iphone …etc .. e.g nd timer (use for long exposure), star chart (use for star tracking and shooting), star walk (use for star , sun, moon set time) , tide app (use to check tide status) … and most of us will prefer bigger screen but too bad I found iPAD just too big to carry around … so my solution is Lowerpro Field Station – Beltpack

use it to bring iPad, few filters with pouch 😀
