a famous Bali tourist spot where it will full with tourist while sunset time …
a place with few beautiful cliffs but this place full with naughty monkeys where it will take your belonging and sometime we need to use banana , food to exchange (some one there will ready to help you with some $$$) … but not every time it work, they may took yours spec and run away 😀 … so we just have to be-careful.
from one end to another end is ~20-30 minutes walk …. the center temple always full with tourist … and monkeys as well …
on our way to stop for sunset , the sky is so clear
I spent 7d6n at Bali, Indonesia for photography outing…
a tired trip as we travel most of the tourist spots and non tourist area to find
out more about this beauty Island …. thanks for our Guide (Agung for brining
us around to what we call photographer interest places)… he know what
photographers (Landscapers want and need) , and we managed to visit
1. Kintamani area round the Mount Batur and Batur Lake
2. Ubud area which include riceTerrace Ceking Tegalalang, village with paddy field and
Sanur Beach
3. a Old Palace belong to Puri Kesiman (Agung Grandfather was King and owner of
this)
4. Kuta – Blue Point Beach, Uluwatu and Jimbaran
5. Jatiluwih – not just the main tourist area but he brought us to few “appetizer”
spots (think most of Landscape photographer will love this place a lot)
6. Tanah Lot – beautiful place with so much of tourist
7. Serengan Island – beautiful place but not open for tourist
8. Seminyak Beach – not really a plan destination but due to traffic he brought us
to this gem beach ..
I will be sharing pictures for above trips for coming weeks, and also slowly
share some info on respective place …
Let start with Mount Batur, a cooling and
beautiful places… while we step in hotel the view immediate make us WOW … at
night while we look at the sky millions of stars are up there , Batur Lake is a
good place with some human interest and beautiful lake view …
The hike to the Mount Batur is moderate, but the view along the hike simply amazing …
the stars, Milky way were like standing side by side with me … the sunrise view
with Mount Rinjani is simply awesome . But need to have local guide to bring up
~Rp200-300k per person and ~2-3hours hike for slow people like me.
this was 1st panorama capture while we left our thing into our room and walk out to the hotel walking path …
there are some place is so beautiful , as long as you are there .. then you will be attract by the view … many places are like that and one of the most beautiful places I ever view .. “lao Zai Shan” from Yangshuo
nothing much angle can be capture if you use wide angle the view is like
it is not a common tourist area as it need little hike .. if you know Bukit Tabur in Kuala Lumpur, it is almost same mountain but it is steep (60-80 degree average) for ~ 1 hours hike …. but it worth every single effort put in
finally I was step into abeautiful Sarawak after long waiting .. I was invite by BINTULU VISUAL-ARTS COMMUNITY (BVC) to share some knowledge on MACRO and Landscape and have a Mega Outing …
even I only there for 2 day for BVC and found you guys rock … patient and the effort to group all the people are well done …
and I spend another 1.5 days with my long known Bintulu friends (Goh, Tony, Ai Ting ….. ) and most of their friend came out for meet up and we went a dark place for star, long house, jungles for mushroom adventure … and your patient on photography especially mushroom, nature got my FULL respect ….
I am still busy after continous working , outing … and I didn’t shoot a lot .. but here is one of the beautiful view at Tanjung Batu, Bintulu, Sarawak …
update 23 Jun
will share more slowly …. especially many beautiful mushroom pictures
tripod is my GOOD friend … I always say this and for my last trip, most of my friend look at me and ask why you bring your tripod any where … my answer is “I do not want to miss anything”
a good tripod for me should serve me few objective
1. sturdy
2. lowest possible angle
3. highest possible angle
4. the leg connection design, I had few experience with other brand tripod all failed on the leg which sand went into the connection cause the failure
5. size
6. weight
7. cost
we invest thousands of dollar on our equipment and I don’t think it is good idea to put it on a tripod that risk your equipment …..
I need my tripod to be stable because I do not want it to fall
I need my tripod have lower angle, because I know I need it
I need my tripod to have light weight because I bring it any where
I need my tripod to be durable to sand attack as most of us go beaches know it kill our tripod
I wish the price is cheaper, everyone wish too
I wish it can be multi tasking … yes mine can use as monopod
….
some sample places I use for my tripod and it never failed me like previous tripods (which cost me RM300-2000)… it still serve me GREAT after 1.5 year heavy utilise (only clean once) …
this is not first time I shoot Milky, but this is my very first time see it clearly … it was just above us and we can use our eye to see it … am happy able to make this outing [my East Coast visit | April 20100] and thanks for my friends going with me (Shunfa, Jason, Siah, Seesy, Xiao Yi, Ismail, Norhana & Lio) . We had wonderful trip … and could be most memorable trip for me ….
